Mike and Mandy Seaman were kind enough to take Barb and I on a tour of Canyonlands National Park Utah. Barb and I were rather sore after running the Salt Lake City Half Marathon earlier in the day, but they took us on easy hikes and we had a wonderful time. |

After spending the morning and early afternoon in the Black Hills, Barb and I drove to the Badlands State Park to tour this area. It turned out to be a wonderful afternoon and evening playing around the state park. |

Barb and I were in western South Dakota to see some storms and tour the Black Hills. While out in the country side we came across an abandon farm and stop to take a few pictures. |

Although it has been a warm and dry winter, the Omaha area finally received a heavy snowfall event. This was an extremely heavy and wet snowfall and provided which stuck to everything. I took the camera out to Two Rivers State Park to do some shooting. |

November 2, 2011 The first snowfall of the season fell in on the Omaha area. It was a great heavy wet snow that stuck to all the grasses and trees. I took the camera to a local lake to capture a couple of photographs. |

October 18, 2011 Took a short trip northeast of Omaha to look at some of what was left over from the Great Flood of 2011 on the Missori River. An amazing amount of water came down the Missouri River and left a tremendous amount of damage that will take a long time to clean up. |

July 26, 2011 During our annual trip to visit family in Michigan we spent a very nice afternoon with Barb's sister and her future husband around the Traverse City, MI area. |

September 17, 2011 Barb and I took a football weekend for our anniversary. We stopped in Iowa City to watch Iowa play Pittsburgh and then went on to Detroit to watch Kansas City take on the Lions. We had a wonderful time. The game in Iowa city was amazing with the Hawkeyes coming back 21 points in the 4th quarter for the win. Here are a couple of shots from the Iowa game. |

During a down day on the chase vacation Barb and I spent some time in Last Chance, Colorado, a ghost town in eastern Colorado. It was facinating to walk around these old abandoned buildings. It seems each one tells a story of its own. |
